FIRST ENGRAVINGS

At its inception, the character now known as Caesar was nameless. Conceived through the act of drawing, the artist had fun in placing this little black figure with anxious contours into various situations. These initial images possessed a captivating charm, stemming from the stark contrast between the enigmatic character and the everyday scenarios in which it found itself.

This collection of engravings, modest in size—ranging from approximately 15 x 15 cm to 30 x 20 cm—unveils the enchanting realm of planet Glouglou. Distinguished from the world of penguins, this universe embodies a spirit that is light, perhaps even naive, and carefree in nature.
